SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an improved flexural modulus acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) molding compound. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for instrume

3、nt cluster housings, extensions and consoles. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 SPECIFIC GRAVITY, Natural 1.04 - 1.15 (ASTM D 792)

7、RTS 3.8.1 Heat Resistance Finished parts must pass the following test: Test Method: Condition the parts for 3 h in a mechanical convection oven maintained at 88 +/- 3 C (or as otherwise specified on engineering drawing). After removal, parts shall show no more than 0.5% shrinkage. There shall be no

8、local shrinkage where the part has been gated which will interfere with assembly to mating parts or affect its appearance. The part shall not warp to an extent that would affect its use in ultimate assembly as specified on the engineering drawing. 3.8.3 Physical Properties Specific requirements for

9、physical properties of molded parts, when required, shall be specified on engineering drawings. 3.8.4 Resistance to Fade (required on visible parts only) (FLTM BO 101-01) The material shall fade no more than the master sample approved for production on file in the Quality Control or Test Laboratory

10、after 120 SFH. 3.8.5 Decorability When decorating is required on parts made of this material, they must be capable of accepting this decoration in accordance with the performance specification shown on the engineering drawing. 3.9 FLAMMABILITY, max 4 in (101 mm)/min (FLTM BN 024-02, without the lot

11、sampling plan) In addition, the test specimen shall not exhibit any flashing or sudden flaming on either surface in excess of the above maximum value. 5.
