APPLICATIONThese specifications were relea sed originally for coating and impregnatingalternator stators and rotors.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requir

4、ements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTRO

5、PHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the

6、designated material laboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23

Remove from oven, air cool to room temperature and inspectvarnish for internal tackiness.3.12 CHARACTERISTICS AFTER CURINGThe bak ed finish shall be hard, adherent and resistant to bending.The

11、finish shall not lo se its physical or insulating properties whensubjected to the long continuous action of heat and electricalstress. 13、Prepare helical coils of #15 gage ESF-M2L46-ANylon-Acetal insulated copper magnet wire on a 6.4 mm mandrel. Windeac h turn of wire closely together under even tension to a coillength of 75 mm. Place 12 of the 75 mm coils on a fixture. Dip intothe catalyzed varnish as received. Withdraw a r ate of 10

14、0 mm/minute.Dip and bake cycle is listed below.5 minutes Dip10 minutes Drain60 minutes Bake 150 C10 minutes CoolPlace the samples in a flexural testing type jig such as is availableat Rawsonville Quality Control Laboratory. Apply the load in thecenter of 51 mm span on the coils through a lever syste

15、m attached tothe heating chamber and testing jig. The load is lead shot pouredinto a pail attached to the lever. When the testing is performed at149 C, the sample is pl aced into the jig and allowed to stand for 15mi nutes prior to load application to bring sample up to thetemperature.3.15 SUPPLIERS

16、 RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved

17、under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeri

18、ngactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unl

APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineeri

20、ng activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory

21、test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineerin

22、g approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for i ntended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below

23、is provided for clarification and assistancein meeting the requirements of this specification.5.1 SHELF LIFE, min 6 months(Unopened - from the date of shipment)5.2 FLAMMABILITYThis material represent s a potential fire hazard. The ManufacturingEngineering Department shall notify both the security and the safetyunits of its presence in the plant. The locatio n in which it is usedor stored shall be included in the notification.
