SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an extruded fibrous polypropylene/polyallomer with good fuel resistance. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released
3、 originally to define a material extruded into fibers which are then put together to form a stuffer to keep the fuel filter from collapsing. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS M
4、aterial suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Material (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 COLOR Clear 3.4 MELT FLOW RATE 2-5 g/10 minutes (ASTM D 1238, 230 C, 2.16 kg) 3.5 FUEL RESISTANCE Fibrous material shall show no tackiness, brittleness, color change or any other detrimental effects after soaking for 48 h at room temperature in the following fuels. 3.5.1 ASTM Fuel C 3.5.2 90% ASTM Fuel C plus 10% ethanol. 3.5.3 95% ASTM Fuel C plus 5% methanol.
