SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high carbon steel strip, hardened and tempered, having strict requirements for surface finish, flatness and thickness. 2. APPLICATION This specificat
3、ion was released originally for material used as flapper or reed valves in automotive air conditioning compressors. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WS
4、S-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION, (WT %) Carbon 0.95 - 1.05 Manganese 0.25 - 0.55 Phosphorus 0.03 max Sulfur 0.02 max Silicon 0.10 - 0.35 3.3 MICROSTRUCTURE The material shall have a microstructure of uniform tempered martensite, with a maximum of 6 % spherical undissolved carbides, determine
5、d by linear analysis. Decarburization (SAE J419, Type 3) shall not exceed 6 % of strip thickness. The entire decarburized zone must not be martensitic.
