2、O BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a synthetic baking enamel, exterior quality, for wet on wet application over ESK-M99J312-A/B. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for decorative painting of stone peck protected lo
3、wer body-side areas, e.g. rocker panel. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 COMPOSITION The enamel shall be composed of durable resins wet on wet compatible with ESK-M99J312-A/B which is used in the production system. The enamel shall be pigmented as required to obtain the specified color and gloss, and to meet the
4、 performance requirements of this specification. 3.2 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Non-Volatile (FLTM EU-BI 2-1) According to initial sample report +/- 1. 3.2.2 Package Viscosity (FLTM EU-BI 11-1) According to initial sample report +/- 5 seconds. 3.2.3 Density (FLTM EU-BI 2-2) According to initial sampl
5、e report +/- 0.05. 3.2.4 Flash Point The flash point shall conform to the safety regulations applicable to the plant and/or country where the material shall come into use. 7、all not gel or liver upon standing. 3.3 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS According to clause 3.3 - 3.8 of ESK-M99J312-A with the following deviations: 3.3.2 Application of ESK-M99J312-A/B 1 hour after enamel baking panels are treated as follows: Mix ESK-M99J312-A/B with ESK-M99J313-A as specified by the v
8、endor. Apply material to a dry film thickness of 130 - 150 micrometre using pneumatic spray equipment. After a flash off time of maximum 1 minute apply material under test ESK-M2J221-A to a dry film thickness of 20 - 25 micrometre wet on wet. Flash off 3 minutes at room temperature. Bake 10 minutes/
9、130 C metal temperature. 3.6.1 Film Thickness (FLTM EU-BI 17-1) 130 - 150 micrometre for ESK-M99J312-A/B 20 - 25 micrometre for ESK-M2J221-A 3.7.9 Repair Using Acid Catalyst SK-M99J9565-B (FLTM EU-BI 15-2) Enamel shall show satisfactory color match, gloss and intercoat adhesion using an approved cat

11、as originally granted. Prior to making any change in the properties, composition, construction, color, processing or labeling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier sh
12、all notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to be submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed
13、by law, regulations or Ford, apply to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are defined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering acti
14、vity. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test
15、reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification (test results, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on its performance to this specification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List.
