APPLICATIONThese specifications were released originally for materials to retainexterio r bodyside mouldings to enameled surfaces (FLTM EU BI 3-2 Bb) andsmoot h stone peck resistance paint (ESK-M99J340-A2) and to bond

4、 rubberparts to bumper.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppl iers must conform to the requirement of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze proces

5、s/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms establish

6、ed for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. Mount the panel in the slamming test fi

22、xture according to FLTM BV151-1 so tha t the bonded discs face out and are at the bottom ofthe test fix ture and place in a cold box maintained at -40 C +/-1 C for 4 h. Allow the panel to fall from a horizontal position10 times in rapid succession. Remove panel from slamming fixtureand condition for

23、 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C.3. 31、on, color, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the pro

32、posed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the report.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions a

33、redefined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering a

34、ctivity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specifi

35、cation (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for assistance and clari

36、ficationand does not represent requirement(s) to this specification.5.1 STORAGE STABILITY(from date of receipt at FMC)Minimu m 12 months when stored at temperatures below 30 C. Only apply tape to absolutely clean and dry surface. Mati ng surface should be matched (contoured or paralleled) toens

38、ure 100 % contact of the bond area. Onc e tape is applied to part e.g. ornament or body side mouldingand has been bonded, and for any reason removed, it should not bere-used. If the adhesive surface of the tape becomes soile d, the tape-backedpart should not be used unless tape is replaced.
