SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a moulded, rigid PUR foam panel, reinforced with a non-woven glass, fiber mat. The part may be covered with textile or PVC sheeting. 2. APPLICATIO

3、N This specification was originally released for parts to be used as load side panels. 3. REQUIREMENTS Note: The material shall be conditioned for a minimum of 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity prior to test and tested under the same conditions. Test shall be done not earlier than

4、72 h after manufacturing. Specimens preferably to be prepared from finished parts. If specimens cannot be prepared due to finished part dimensions, they may be prepared from surrogate panels produced under the same conditions as the finished part. 3.1 DIMENSIONS As specified on Engineering drawing (

5、ISO 1923) 3.2 WEIGHT OF FINISHED PART As specified on Engineering Drawing 3.3 APPEARANCE The part shall not show any voids or cracks, which may impair the serviceability of the part. 3.4 GLASS FIBER CONTENT 30 +/- 5 % (ISO 3451/1, Method A, muffle furnace temperature 750 +/- 50 C) 3.5 TENSILE STRENG

9、g shall be in accordance with FLTM EU-BN 24-2. 3.10.2.1 Performance-Environmental Ageing Requirement All materials, portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have not been treated, modified or reformulated, and exceed a maximum burn rate of 75 mm per minute as specifi

10、ed by the Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM EU-BN 24-2, must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardant properties per SK-M99P9500-A, Table 1 according to the accelerated environmental ageing requirements applicable to the basic material category of this particular specificati

11、on. 12、f maximum burn rate, must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physical properties per SK-M99P9500-A, Table 1 applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. 3.11 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR

13、 THERMAL ANALYSIS Ford Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/or thermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification. The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated mate

14、rial laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.12 SUBSTANCE CONTROL Legal, health, safety and environmental constraints may apply to the materials which are submitted for approval to this specif

15、ication. Refer to Engineering Material Specification SK-M99P9999-A. 3.13 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FINISHED PART As specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.14 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval wa

16、s originally granted. Prior to making any change in the properties, composition, construction, color, processing or labeling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier sha

17、ll notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to be submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed b

18、y law, regulations or Ford, apply to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are defined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1. 19、s specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to

20、the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification (test results, not nominal values), the material desi

21、gnation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on its performance to this specification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 DENSITY 400 kg/m3 (ISO 845)
