SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is a low density, flexible, moldable, self adhesive dead
3、ener based on bitumen/synthetic and mineral filler with an anti-blocking surface finish on one side. The adhesive side is covered with a protective release. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for material used as a sound deadener on C- and D- pillars in the passenger compar
4、tment. The material is applied to painted surfaces. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements F
5、or Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 COLOR Any 3.4 THICKNESS 1.75 +/- 0.2 mm (ISO 4593) 3.5 DENSITY, max 1.8 g/cm3 (ISO R 1183, Method A, except without adhesive coating) 3.6 SOLIDS, min 99% (FLTM BV 150-10) 3.7 ASH, max 65.0% (FLTM BV 150-10) 3.8 MOLDABILITY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE No cracking
6、 or loss of adhesion. The material shall fit tightly to the panel and shall not be removed without destruction. 7、o the middle section of a 300 x 150 x 0.8 - 0.9 mm painted test panel (see Fig. 1) and press down firmly to ensure a uniform adhesion over the entire bonding area. The test panel shall be bent around a 40 mm mandrel prior to painting. 2) Examine after 120 hours storage at room temperature. 3.9 ADHES
8、ION AFTER AGEING No sagging, no blistering or cracking and no loss of adhesion. The material shall fit tightly to the panel. Test Method: 1) Specimen preparation according to 3.8 of test method, section 1. 2) Expose test assemblies in a mechanically convected air-drying oven at 100 +/- 2 C for 120 h
9、ours. 3) Examine after cooling to room temperature. 3.10 COLD ADHESION No chipping, cracking or loss of adhesion. The material shall fit tightly to the panel. Test Method: 1) Apply 280 x 280 mm pieces of test materials to 300 x 300 x 1.5 +/- 0.1 mm painted test panel with the adhesive facing to the
10、panel and press down firmly to ensure a uniform adhesion over the entire bonding area. 2) After 4 hours conditioning at room temperature test according to FLTM BV 151-02, Method A, Load A, -30 +/- 1 C. 3.11 COLD ADHESION AFTER AGEING No chipping, cracking or loss of adhesion. The material shall fit
11、tightly to the panel. Test Method: 1) Specimen preparation according to 3.10 of test method, section 1. 2) Expose test assemblies in a mechanically converted air-drying oven at 80 +/- 2 C for 2 weeks. 3) After conditioning at room temperature for 24 hours test specimen further treated according to F
12、LTM BV 151-02, Method A, Load A, -30 +/- 1 C. 3.12 ENVIRONMENTAL CYCLE TEST No chipping, cracking or loss of adhesion. The material shall fit tightly to the panel. 13、 Specimen preparation according to 3.10, test method, section 1. 2) Condition test specimens for 24 hours at room temperature and subject three times to the following cycle: 3 h at -30 +/- 1 C 1 h at 23 +/- 2 C 3 h at 80 +/- 2 C 1 h at 23 +/- 2 C 16 h at 38 +/- 2 C and 98 +/- 2% relative humidity 3)
14、 After conditioning at room temperature for 24 hours, test specimens shall be further treated according to FLTM BV 151-02, Test Method A, Load A, -30 +/- 1 C. 3.13 PALLETIZING Test material and release paper shall separate easily from each other without tearing. Test Method: 1) Cut from material und
15、er test 5 specimens 100 mm x 100 mm and determine weight and thickness per specimen. 2) Ply up and cover with an aluminum plate of same size. 3) Load with a dead weight equaling a plied up height of 600 mm minus the weight of 5 specimens and cover plate. 4) Expose test assembly in a mechanical conve
16、ction oven maintained at a temperature of 35 +/- 2 C for 2 weeks. Cool to room temperature, remove weight and cover plate and examine as described above. 3.14 DAMPING FACTOR AT 200 HZ, min ETA = 0.1 (FLTM EU-BV 060-01, at room temperature) 3.15 ODOR, max Rating 2 (FLTM BO 131-01, except bond to pain
17、ted test panel) 3.16 FLAMMABILITY 3.16.1 ESK-M99G148-A (ISO 3785) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute 3.16.2 ESK-M99G148-B Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute In order to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302, the materials, portions of components, and composites shall not burn or transmit a flame across their surface, at a rate of more than 100 mm/minute. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM EU-BN 024-02.
