2、OLYVINYL CHLORIDE, OPAQUE FLOOR MAT EST-M4D139-C NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an opaque vinyl of good quality and uniform composition. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an opaque accessory floor cove
3、ring. 3. REQUIREMENTS Tests shall be conducted on unembossed sections of the floor mat or on molded test specimens. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3
4、.2 ORIGINAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Appearance The color pattern, texture, clarity and finish shall match that of the master sample on file at the affected Product Engineering Office. 3.2.2 Surface Condition The surface shall not be tacky to foreign material. Dirt and dust shall be capable of removal with
5、soap and water. 3.2.3 Hardness - Durometer “A“ 65 - 75 (ASTM D 2240) 3.2.4 Tensile Strength, min 1200 psi (8.2 MPa) (ASTM D 412, Die “A“, except pull at 12 in (300 mm)/min) 3.2.5 Elongation, min 225% (ASTM D 412, as above) 3.2.6 Tear Strength, Trapezoid, min 0.75 lb/0.001 in (ASTM D 5733) (131 N/mm)

10、 on file at the affected Product Engineering Office. 3.8 RESISTANCE TO ARTIFICIAL WEATHERING (FLTM BO 115-01, 3 cycles) Shall show no more discoloration after test than the master sample approved for production on file at the affected Product Engineering Office. 3.9 RESISTANCE TO FOGGING, min 75, no

12、Engineering Office. Test Method: Test a 1 x 6 in (25 x 150 mm) sample from the material. Submerge 1/2 of sample for 24 h in a beaker of distilled water set in an atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C or 65 +/- 5% relative humidity. Compare samples. Cloudiness shall disappear after 12 h drying in the atmosphere.
13、3.11 ODOR No objectionable odor Test Method: The entire mat shall be laid flat at standard room temperature and humidity for 12 h. It shall then be rolled on itself and the odor tested at one end of the tube. 3.12 TINTED OR SPARKLE MATS 3.12.1 Weatherometer Resistance, min 500 h (FLTM BO 101-01) Sha
14、ll show no more stain, color tone change, or change in hue than that of the master sample on file at the affected Product Engineering Office. 3.13 EST-M4D139-C FLAMMABILITY 3.13.1 In order to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302, the materials, portions of components, and compos
15、ites shall not burn or transmit a flame across its surface, at a rate of more than 4 in (101 mm) per minute. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM BN 024-02. 3.13.2 Performance - Environmental Aging All materials, portions of components, an
16、d composites defined by this specification that have not been treated, modified or reformulated and exceed a maximum burn rate of 3.0 in (76 mm) per minute as specified by the Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM BN 024-02, must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardant properti
17、es per ESB-M25P3-A according to the accelerated environmental aging requirements applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. Any material, portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have been treated, modified or reformulated to conform
18、to Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM BN 024-02, regardless of maximum burn rate, must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physical properties per ESB-M25P3-A applicable to the basic materials category of this particular specification. 3.13.3 Flammability Test Program Materials, portions of components, and composites governed by this specification must also comply with the requirements of ES-D3AB-11014-AA.
