SCOPE:1.1 APPLICATION:1.1.1 Form 2630 and computer generated forms are intended asattachments to purchase inquiries and p
2、urchase orders tospecify the requirements pertaining to electrical apparatusfor room applications.1.2 INCLUDED DATA:1.2.1 Each section of the form shall filled in according to knowninformation at the time the inquiry is originated.1.2.2 The description of equipment shall be equivalent to the titlebl
3、ock on drawings and may include the part number (onproduction machines) of the part processed.1.2.3 The name of the individual listed for technical informationshall be the electrical engineer, or other qualified person,designated to review preliminary and final electrical diagramsand data.1.2.4 When
4、 a new Form is compiled, or the form is updated in anydetail, the current date shall be inserted at the bottom ofPage 1 in the line “Date Last Revised_“. The data formshall be reviewed and updated annually, or more often ifdeemed necessary to include latest technology described in newand revised sta
5、ndards and related component manufacturers data.2. INSTRUCTIONS:2.1 SPECIFICATIONS:2.1.1 ITEM 1 - CONFORMANCE WITH STANDARDS:(A) The Electrical Standard for Mass Production Equipment EX1is the reference for production equipment.(B) The Electrical Standard for General Purpose Machine ToolsEX3 is the

7、 or machines intended for hazardous locationsshall include reference to ANSI/NFPA 70, “NationalElectrical Code“, Articles 500 through 516 as applicable.2.1.2 ITEM 2:(A) DIAGRAMS AND DATA: These diagrams are intended forpreliminary review and approval purposes. Check theappropriate boxes, and specify
8、 under “OTHER“ any specialdiagrams or data required.(B) The number of copies of the final diagrams to be furnishedwith the equipment shall be inserted in the appropriatespace. Also indicate the recipient and address for theoriginal drawings.(C) DRAWING NUMBER: The assigned 70Z_ drawing number should
9、be shown to avoid problems in identification of theoriginal drawings and prints. If not available at the timethe inquiry is originated, it should be included with thepurchase order or as soon as practicable thereafter. Thiswill aid the builder and allow showing the print number ondrawings and panel
10、name plate for future reference. Also seeGeneral Machine Specification and Procurement Handbook,Section II, and Ford Manufacturing Standard XA8.2.1.3 ITEM 3 - POWER SUPPLY CHARACTERISTICS: The voltage, number ofphases and frequency of the plant power supply should be shown.Most Ford plants in the Un
11、ited States operate on 460 volts3-Phase, 60 Hertz.2.1.4 ITEM 4 - MOTORS: AC Motors are preferred which have a singlerating for 460 VAC. See Ford Manufacturing Standards EM1, EM1Xand NEMA Standard MG1, Motors and Generators, Part 10.2.1.5 ITEMS 5 THROUGH 7 - ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT:(A) A minimum of two
12、sources, and preferably three, should belisted for electrical components in order to expediteprocurement. Items other than those listed may be shownin Section 11. The order of listing does not indicate apreference.(B) The preferred type of disconnecting means shall bechecked. For a total load of les
13、s than 50 HP, a fuseddisconnect switch is preferred. If required,it should be specified in accordance with requirementsoutlined in Ford Manufacturing Standards EX1, Part E 10.
15、2,and Standard EW3.(B) MACHINE WORK LIGHTS: This section refers to lighting onthe machine, usually at the operators loading position.If lighting is required, the source of power shall bechecked.2.1.7 ITEM 8 - CONTROL CIRCUIT: Plants in the United States use theungrounded control circuit. National St
16、andards in othercountries may require grounded control circuits. Checkappropriate box.2.1.8 ITEM 9 - If power factor correction is required, check theappropriate box and list acceptable capacitor sources. SeeStandard EFX for requirements.2.1.9 ITEM 10 - RACEWAY AND WIRING: This section pertains to t
17、heoverhead wireway or conduit between a separately mountedcontrol panel enclosure and the equipment or machine. If theexact location of the control enclosure is not known at thetime the inquiry is originated, a request may be included for aspecified length (e.g., 10 feet) and separately negotiated w
18、henthe exact location is determined.2.1.10 ITEM 11 - OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This section is intended as anextension of Section 7. Preferred electrical equipment, suchas temperature controllers, flow switches, photo-electric,presence sensing devices, electronic and similar items may belisted as required
