2、termines the adhesion of the insulation sheath to the conductor of automotive electrical cable. Apparatus Required Sheet Metal Plate Having holes as required to perform test procedure Tensile Test Machine Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditi

3、oned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Prepare test specimen as required by the relevant Engineering Materials Specification. 2. Remove the in

4、sulation from one end of the test specimen to a distance of 100 mm. 3. Feed the bare conductor through a sheet metal plate having a suitable hole diameter. The diameter to be equal to the diameter of the cable conductor plus a maximum of 0.1 mm. 4. Hang the conductor vertically in a tensile test mac

5、hine and load at a rate of 50 mm/minute (see Figure 1). 5. Record the force in Newtons required to remove the insulation sheath and compare to Table 1. The force must not be greater than that specified in Table 1. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used an
