2、lication This procedure is used to determine the oxidation stability and corrosion effect of greases on brass, copper, beryllium copper and silver. Description of Test A sample of grease in five dishes is oxidized in a sealed container filled with oxygen at 758 kPa and 99 C. In the center three dish

3、es of the dish holder, any or all of the above material specimens are embedded in the grease. The degree of oxidation after a given period of time is determined by the corresponding decrease in oxygen pressure. The specimens are examined for corrosion. Apparatus Required Apparatus as Defined in ASTM

If 690 +/- 3 kPa pressure is maintained, place in previously prepared 99 C oil bath and observe pressure rise. Release oxygen intermittently until a const

Test time starts when container is immersed in the oil bath. Record pressure drop at least each 24 h for duration of established test. 11. Al

Remove dishes from top to bottom and arrange on table in the same order for evaluation. Inspection of Grease and Specimens 1. Observe any radical cha

Examine microscopically (about 45 power). Rate the copper alloys per ASTM D 130. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
