Distilled Water Cutting Dies 300 x 300 mm 250 x 250 mm Indelible Ink Cutting Tool Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ - 5 % relative humidity for not less than
4、 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless o therwise specified. Procedure 1. Preferred Method Die cut a 300 x 300 mm specimen. For carpets cut a 250 x 250 mm specimen directly. 2. Place the test specimen in a tray containing distilled water at 23 +/ - 2 C and ke
6、ep it immersed until it is thoroughly soaked. The immersion period s hall be a minimum of one hour. To prevent movement of the test specimen to the surface, use the wire mesh screen to weigh it down, if necessary using additional weights or glass rods. 3. After thoroughly soaking, lay the test speci
7、men flat on a raised wi re mesh screen (removing weights or glass rods from the specimens surface) and allow the specimen to dry using a low temperature forced air system for a minimum of 24 hours at 23 +/ - 2 C and a relative humidity of 50 +/ - 5 %, if not otherwise specified, until it reaches moi
8、sture equilibrium with that of the room. 4. Measure the dimensional changes of the test specimen, i.e. shrinkage or the extension of the specimen, within the area of the marked square. Evaluation Calculate the shrinkage or extensio n of the specimen and report the result as a plus or minus percentage. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its fac ilities.
