12、ame conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure for Determining/Reporting the Soiling of the Test Specimen 1. Prepare six die cut 110 mm diameter test specimens. 2. Insert a new 75 x 200 mm strip of the soil cloth in the Stoll Universal Wear Tester or advance to an untested area of the current
13、strip. 3. Clamp the test specimen into the bottom section of the wear tester. The rubber diaphragm located beneath the specimen should be used without the metal contact pin in the center. 4. Apply a 0.91 kg head load and adjust the air pressure under the diaphragm to 21 kPa (nominal value) to obtain
14、 a soiled area of 30 +/- 5 mm. Lower the head containing the cotton soil test fabric and run for 500 cycles (approximately 4 minutes) or as specified on the engineering document. Note: If the test increases the gloss of the test specimen then repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4 using a piece of the soil test cl

This abraded area is then placed over the opening of the colorimeter and the reflectance value obtained is recorded as original reflectance of the test specimen as described
16、in Step 8. This may be necessary for vinyl. 5. Measure the lightness difference reflectance value around the diameter of the unsoiled area of the test specimen. Take four successive readings on each piece. Average the readings and save as your standard reading. 6. Take four successive reflectance re

Average the results of the two pieces of test specimen. and save as your tested sample reading. 7. Calculate and report the DE value obtained between steps 5 and 6 above. Report this DE value as your soiling transfer value. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
