Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same

、conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Clean the painted panel with one wash using the isopropyl/water solution and wipe dry with a tissue. 2. Cover 25 mm of one of the 50 mm ends of the test panel with masking tape. Refer to Figure 1. 3. Cut a specimen of the tape to be tested at least

、 200 mm long and 12.7 mm wide. 4. Lay the tape to be tested flat with the heat activated adhesive exposed. 5. Lay the anodized aluminum strip on top of the heat activated adhesive, such that the tape is centered and parallel to the edges of the strip with the aluminum matte surface against the adhes

、ive. 6. Apply a 150 +/- 3 C iron or hot press to the top of the aluminum for 15 s. 7. Roll the tape/aluminum sample with the 6.8 kg roller. 8. Remove the liner from the tape. Align the tape lengthwise 25 mm in from the edge as shown in Figure 1, and allow the end of the tape to extend beyond the end

、 of the panel by 50 mm. 9. Roll the tape sample onto the panel with one pass using the 6.8 kg roller at the rate of 300 mm per minute. 10. Allow the specimen to age as specified in the applicable Engineering Materials Specification. 11. Test the panels after conditioning as follows: . Clamp the fixt

、ure for holding the panel in the stationary jaw of the tensile tester. . Place a test panel into the holding fixture and insert an extended end of the tape into the crosshead jaw.
