2、 determine the cold flexibility of rubber-based adhesives. Apparatus Required Mandrel Steel tubing 10 mm in diameter and 150 mm in length. Mechanical Convection Oven Capable of maintaining a constant temperature of 100 +/- 2 C. Cold Box Capable of maintaining a constant temperature of - 40 +/- 2 C.

3、Template To apply adhesive. 55 x 100 mm cutout opening and a thickness of 0.20 mm. Materials Required Aluminum Foil 150 x 60 x 0.2 mm Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative h

4、umidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Apply approximately 0.20 mm wet film thickness of adhesive and approximate dimensions of 55 mm width by 100 mm length to a degreased aluminum foil as shown in sketch. 2. Hold

Immediately after oven exposure, place sample and mandrel in the cold box maintained at - 40 +/- 2 C for 2 h. 5

6、. While still in the cold box, uniformly bend each of the specimens through an angle of 180 deg in 5 s around the mandrel as shown in sketch. Evaluation Check for flaking and cracking. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
