APPLICATION This material is generally used for wrapping up insulated electrical wires (laced wiring harnesses) in automotive assemblies. 3. RE
3、QUIREMENTS Note: The material under test shall be conditioned before testing for a minimum of 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity and tested under the same conditions. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys

6、f 2 3.5 CHANGE OF ORIGINAL PROPERTIES AFTER HEAT AGEING (ASTM D 573, 70 h at 80 +/- 1 C) 3.5.1 Shore Hardness “A“, max +/- 5 3.5.2 Tensile Strength at Break, max -20% 3.5.3 Elongation at Break, max -15% 3.6 COLD FLEXIBILITY (FLTM EU-BO 051-09, at -30 +/- 1 C) Shall not break or show cracks. 3.7 Heat
7、 Ageing A section of tape of approx. 200 mm in length shall show no evidence of tackiness after an exposure of 24 h at 80 +/- 1 C in a mechanical convection oven. After cooling to room temperature the longitudinal shrinkage shall not exceed 8%. The specimen shall not break or show cracks when bent 1
8、80 upon itself. There shall be no change of original color after this test. 3.8 OIL RESISTANCE The material shall not be visibly attacked or show evidence of failure. Test Method: Wrap a sample of tape (200 mm) in tight windings around a mandrel 30 times the sample thickness and immerse assembly in
9、engine oil according to ESE-M2C101-B at room temperature for 48 hours. 3.9 GASOLINE RESISTANCE The material shall not be visibly attacked or show evidence or failure. Test Method: Wrap a sample of tape (200 mm) in tight windings around a mandrel 30 times the sample thickness and immerse assembly in ASTM Fuel B at room temperature for 5 minutes. Remove and let dry for 5 minutes at room temperature. Repeat this cycle 4 times. 3.10 VOLUME RESISTIVITY10E10 ohms x cm (ASTM D 257)
