MANUFACTURERS IDENTIFICATION: Each harness and lanyard
2、assembly shallbear identification marks, either indelibly imprinted into the harnessor stamped into permanently attached tags listing the manufacturer, dateof manufacture, style and number. All markings shall be readily legibleand applied so they are indelible for the life of the harness.5. APPROVAL
3、 OF NEW MANUFACTURER: Harnesses submitted by new manufacturersto this Standard must have laboratory and shop trial approvals.Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to theManufacturing Approved Source List must be made by the appropriatedivision standards activity in writing to Plant E

5、 Office, Manufacturing Staff, and theCorporate Safety Manager, Personnel and Organization Staff, with reviewthe requests for approval.6. SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY: All equipment supplied to this Standard mustbe equivalent in all characteristics to the equipment upon whichapproval was originally grant
6、ed and shall be suitable for the intendedapplication. Changes shall not be made without approval of the PlantEngineering Office, Manufacturing Staff.7. GENERAL: The recommended life of each harness and lanyard is five yearsfrom the date of issue, with scheduled inspections twice per year. Thedate of
7、 each such inspection shall be recorded on a tag permanentlyattached to the harness. These inspections shall be in addition to thedaily inspection by the user. The nylon used in the harness webbing hasa minimum melting point of 480 F (249 C). If a harness and/or lanyard issubjected to temperature of 300 F (149 C), or above, it shall be removedfrom service and destroyed.
