APPLICATION This finish is specified where good corrosion resistance is required. 3. QUALITY The quality required is that ob
3、tained with best commercial practice to meet the requirements of this performance specification as follows: 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 CLEAN
4、ING All parts must be free from oily or alkaline residues, finger prints, rust and dirt. 3.2 PHOSPHATE COATING (if necessary) Parts must be zinc phosphated according to S-M3P1-B. 3.3 PAINT COAT The paint coat shall consist of a zinc rich paint. Brush or spray application. Material air drying and/or
5、forced drying up to 110 C. 3.4 FILM THICKNESS (FLTM BI 117-01) Sufficient to fulfill requirements of this specification. 3.5 AGEING All parts shall be aged 16 hours at 45 C or 72 hours at room temperature prior to testing. 3.6 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES 3.6.1 Initial Hardness The material shall be sufficie
6、ntly cured at time of packing to withstand normal handling and shipping without damage. Any tackiness or printing resulting from hard pressure with the flat thumb shall be cause for rejection. Page 2 of 2 3.6.2 Adhesion No chipping (FLTM BI 106-01) 3.6.3 Salt Fog Resistance 240 h No blistering and rusting on panel surface and no more than 4 mm rust creepage and/or loss of adhesion from a line scribed to bare metal. 3.6.4 Water Resistance 240 h (FLTM BI 104-01)Immediatel
8、y after removal from the water, scribe the panel to bare metal. Dry the scribed area with a cloth or air pressure and immediately apply tape (3M Company 710) to the scratch by pressing firmly and remove it with an upward motion at a medium speed. Causes for rejection are: a) Blistering b) Rust creepage c) Paint removal more than 4 mm from the scribed line.
