NORMATIVE REFERENCES: The product categories and applications listed in this Standard shall conform to those Standar

9、ds listed below each product category or application. 3. TERMINAL, DISTRIBUTION, AND SPLITTER BLOCKS Terminal Blocks are defined as modular type pressure wire connectors that establish a connection between two or more conductors, or between one or more conductors and a termination point, 600 VAC rat

10、ed, mounted on a track, strip, channel, or 35mm DIN 3 rail for use on control panels, subassemblies, and in terminal boxes on industrial equipment. Distribution and Splitter Blocks are defined as pressure wire connectors that establish the connection between two or more conductors, modular type, and

11、 600 VAC rated for use on control panels, subassemblies, and in terminal boxes on industrial equipment. 3.1 All Terminal, Splitter, and Distribution Blocks shall be Underwriters Recognized ( ), CSA C22.2.158 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60947-7-1 and EN 60947-7-2 to ensure that their cons

12、truction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. All Terminal Blocks shall bear the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 3.2 Conductors shall be retained with a captive saddle clamp on a screw-type terminal or with a screw-less cage clamp. 3.3 Terminal, Splitter, and Dis

13、tribution Block insulation shall have a flammability rating of UL 94V-1 or better. 3.4 Terminal, Splitter, and Distribution Block and Conductor Pull Out Test shall conform to Table 12.1 and Table 14.1 of UL 486E. 3.5 Test results for ampacity, temperature rise, dielectric strength, etc., shall confo

14、rm to UL 486A, 486E and UL 1059. 3.6 All Terminal, Splitter, and Distribution Block terminals shall be 600 VAC rated terminal-to-terminal and terminal-to-ground per UL 1059. 4. FUSE BLOCKS AND FUSE HOLDERS Fuse Blocks are defined as devices that hold a specified dual element power or control fuse be

15、tween two clips. Fuse Holders are defined as devices that hold a specified dual element power or control fuse in a finger safe enclosure. This does not apply to devices used to hold miniature or glass type fuses. 4.1 All Fuse Blocks and Fuse Holders shall be Underwriters 512 Listed, ( ), CSA C22.2.3

16、9 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60269 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. All Fuse Blocks and Fuse Holders shall bear the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 4.2 Current carrying parts shall be copper compatible and confor

17、m to UL 486A or UL 486E. 4.3 Ferrule type clips shall be one-piece construction. Reinforcing springs shall not carry current in either the ferrule or blade type assembly. 4.4 Base material shall withstand temperatures of a least 120 degrees C (250 degrees F) and shall have a flammability rating of U

18、L 94V-1 or better. 4.5 Fuse Block bases shall be single piece construction for one, two, and three pole designs. Fuses shall be easily removable from the top of the “fuse door“. 4.7 Fuse Holders shall have recessed termination screws for IP20 Rated prote

20、ction. 4.8 Blown fuse indication on the fuse holder shall be available as an option. 5. STARTERS AND CONTACTORS Starters and Contactors include all sizes of NEMA and IEC products, including overloads, motor circuit protectors, and integral starters. 5.1 All Contactors shall be Underwriters 508 Liste

21、d ( ), CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per IEC 60947-4-1 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 5.2 All Contactors shall conform to NEMA ICS2. 5.3 All IEC Starters and Overloads shall be Underwriters 508 Type E Listed ( ), Und

22、erwriters 508 Type F Listed ( ), CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ) for Type E Protection, and CE Marked ( ) per IEC 60947-4-5 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 5.4 All NEMA Starters and Overloads shall be Underwriters 508 Listed ( ), Underwri

23、ters 508 Type E Listed ( ), Underwriters 508 Type F Listed ( ), and CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ) for Type E Protection to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL and CSA Standards. 5.5 All NEMA Starters and Overloads shall conform to NEMA ICS2. 5.6 All IEC Starters shal

24、l be rated as a Motor Disconnect and for Tap Conductor Protection. 5.7 All Motor Circuit Protectors shall be Underwriters 508 Listed ( ), Underwriters 508 Type E Listed ( ) for Self-Protection, Underwriters 508 Type F Listed ( ) for combination products, CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ) for Type E Protect

25、ion, and CE Marked ( ) per IEC 60947-2 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 5.8 All Motor Circuit Protectors shall be rated as a Motor Disconnect and for Tap Conductor Protection. 5.9 All Starters, Contactors, and Motor Circuit Protectors

26、 shall be rated at 65kA minimum withstand at 480/277 VAC per UL 508 Type E. 6. LIMIT SWITCHES Limit Switches include all styles and sizes for use in non-hazardous locations. 6.1 All Limit Switches shall be Underwriters 508 Listed ( ), CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60947 to ens

27、ure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 6.2 All Limit Switches shall be IP66 Rated, or better. 7. PROXIMITY SWITCHES Proximity Switches include inductive, capacitive, and weld field immune styles in tubular, square, and rectangular bodies. 7.1 All

28、 Proximity Switches shall be Underwriters 508 Listed ( ), Underwriters NRKH Listed ( ), CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60947 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 7.2 All Proximity Switch outputs shall be +24VDC PNP O

30、ge. 7.5 All Proximity Switches shall be IP67 Rated, or better. 8. PUSHBUTTONS, PILOT LIGHTS, SELECTOR SWITCHES Pushbuttons, Pilot Lights, and Selector Switches include: standard, lighted, key type, and push-to-test. 8.1 All Pushbuttons, Pilot Lights, and Selector Switches shall be Underwriters 508 L

31、isted ( ), CSA C22.2.14 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60947-5-1 to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. 8.2 All NEMA Pushbuttons and Selector Switches shall conform to NEMA ICS1 and NEMA ICS5. 8.3 Dual Push-Pull Pushbutton assembli

32、es shall NOT be acceptable. 8.4 Illuminated Pushbuttons shall be used on 24VDC circuits ONLY and have extended head with full guard. 8.5 Pilot Lights shall be LED cluster type lamp. 8.6 Multi-colored or multi-sectioned Pilot Lights shall NOT be ACCEPTABLE. 8.7 NEMA Pilot Lights greater than 50 Volts

33、 shall be transformer push-to-test type with nominal secondary voltage of 6 Volts. 8.8 Contact blocks shall NOT be stacked greater than 2 deep or 2 across. 8.9 Contacts shall be 600 Volt rated to NEMA A600 and NEMA Q600 and 500 Volt rated to AC15 and DC13 per EN 60947. Contacts shall have a minimum

34、dielectric strength of 2.2kV. 9. EXTENSION CORDS Extension Cords shall be multiple conductor portable cord assemblies complete with plugs and receptacles for general use and be either 300 Volt rated for systems utilizing 250 Volts and less or 600 Volt rated for systems utilizing 480 Volts and less.

35、This Section does NOT apply to Extension Cords for use in hazardous locations. All Extension Cords shall incorporate the proper sized grounding conductor per 2002 NFPA/NEC 70. 9.1 All Cord and Cable shall conform to Section 10 for 120 VAC applications or Section 12 for 480 VAC applications. Severe D

36、uty Power Cable listed on the E1-QSL shall also be acceptable as Cable for 480 VAC applications. 9.2 All Molded Extension Cord Assemblies shall have oil resistant inner conductor insulation with non-wicking and non-hygroscopic filler and an oil resistant outer jacket. Acceptable cord types include:

37、SJOO, SJOOW, SJEOOW, SOO, and SOOW. 9.3 All 120 VAC Molded Extension Cord Assemblies shall be Underwriters 817 Listed ( ) or Underwriters ULBZ Listed ( ) and CSA C22.2.18 Certified ( ), to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL and CSA Standards. All Cord shall bear

38、the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 9.4 All plugs and receptacles shall conform to Section 14. Molded Extension Cord Assemblies are exempt from this requirement. 9.5 Extension Cords shall NOT be assembled with male plugs on each end. 9.6 Extension Cord conductors shall be terminated with ri

39、ng type pressure connectors of proper ampacity and size for the terminal screw and conductor. Molded Extension Cord Assemblies are exempt from this requirement. HARD SERVICE CORD Hard Service Cord shall be 600 VAC rated, Type SOO or SOOW, suitable for “extra hard usage“ as specified in the 2002 NFPA/NEC 70, Table 400-4, and chemical, water, oil resistant, round with flexible stranded copper conductors, and non-wicking and non-hygroscopic fillers. Type

41、 SOOW Cable shall be weather and sunlight resistant. 10.1 All Cord shall be Underwriters 62 Listed ( ) and CSA C22.2-49 Certified ( ) to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the appropriate UL and CSA Standards. All Cord shall bear the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 10.2 Al

42、l Cord shall be suitable for heavy-duty industrial service where continuous exposure to fluids, such as water, oil, grease, coolants, and solvents is typical and temperatures up to 90 degrees C (195 degrees F). 10.3 All Cord shall conform to CSA FT2 Flame Rating. 10.4 All conductor insulation and ja

43、cket material shall be thermoset or thermoplastic elastomer. Rubber and rubber compounds are NOT acceptable. 10.5 All Cord should have a yellow jacket. 11. MULTICONDUCTOR CONTROL CABLE Multiconductor Control Cable shall be 600 VAC rated, Type PVC or PUR, and chemical, water, sunlight, oil resistant,

44、 round with flexible stranded copper conductors, and non-wicking and non-hygroscopic fillers. 11.1 All non Tray-Cable shall be Underwriters Recognized ( ), CSA C22.2.49 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60332, EN 50265, and 98/37/EC to ensure that their construction is in compliance with the a

45、ppropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. All Cord shall bear the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 11.2 All Tray-Cable shall be Underwriters 1077 Listed ( ), CSA C22.2.49 Certified ( ), and CE Marked ( ) per EN 60332, EN 50265, and 98/37/EC to ensure that their construction is in compliance with

46、 the appropriate UL, CSA, and EN Standards. All Cord shall bear the appropriate marks of the above agencies. 11.3 All Cable shall be suitable for heavy-duty industrial service where continuous exposure to fluids, such as water, oil, grease, coolants, and solvents is typical and temperatures up to 80

47、 degrees C (175 degrees F). 11.4 All Cable shall conform to CSA FT1 Flame Rating. 11.5 All conductor insulation and jacket material shall be thermoset or thermoplastic elastomer. Rubber and rubber compounds are NOT acceptable. 11.6 Conductors shall be permanently colored throughout. Available conduc

48、tor colors shall include red, white, blue, and blue with a white tracer. A grounding conductor shall be included in each cable and shall be green with a yellow tracer. 11.7 Cables with the same color conductors shall have individually numbered conductors. 12. TYPE “G“ AND BUS DROP CABLE Type G and B

49、us Drop Cable shall be 600 VAC rated, with three flexible stranded copper power conductors and either a single flexible stranded copper ground conductor or three sectioned flexible stranded copper conductors whose cross sectional area is equal to a power conductor, sunlight resistant, round, and with non-wicking and non-hygroscopic fillers. 12.1 All Bus Drop Cable shall be Underwriters 44 Listed ( ), Underwriters 83 Listed ( ),or Underwriters 493 Listed ( ) and CSA C22.2.96 Certified ( ) to ensure that their Prin
