2、OATING 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a flat woven polyester face fabric containing a minimum of 25% PIR/PCR (Post industrial/post consumer) recycled yarn. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2016 MY F150
3、seat insert. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is lo
4、cated within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-
5、M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in
6、material submission package. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment

The remaining portion of the material can come from virgin sources. Refer to the App

Virgin yarn contains 100% virgin material. 3.10 METHOD OF DYEING Solution dyed 3.11 FINISHED OPERATIONS Washing, heat set, resin treatment, backcoat Any changes to the above process must be approved by Materials Engine
11、ering. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this spec
12、ification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn i
13、s locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS
14、Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative ENGI

Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minim
16、um of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material up
17、on which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Mate
18、rials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Productio
19、n Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1/latest which is updated yearly.
