SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an annealed nodular cast iron alloyed with a nominal 4 % silicon and 1 % molybdenum. 2. APPLICATION This speci
3、fication was released originally for material used for exhaust manifolds requiring high temperature strength and resistance to oxidation. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Pr

Grap
7、hite Morphology, min 90 % Types I & II Graphite Size 6 and 7 Matrix microstructure shall consist predominantly of ferrite with a maximum of 25 % pearlite and a maximum of 4 % finely dispersed carbides. In case of dispute, the quantitative metallurgical method will be the umpire method. 3.6 HEAT TREATMENT Castings produced to this specification shall be annealed. The annealing process
