SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber with an IRHD hardness of 55. 2. APPLICATION This sp
3、ecification was released originally for material used as a plenum chamber gasket. The material has good resistance to mineral oil up to 125 C, and moderate resistance to oxygenated fuels including “Flexfuels“. However, the material has poor resistance to “sour gas“ (See Clause 5.2). It is capable of
4、 withstanding average air temperatures up to 80 C and peak temperatures up to 100 C. The material remains flexible down to -30 C. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production
5、 Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MATERIAL TESTING The following tests shall be performed on finished hoses and/or test specimens cut from them. The test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts and buffed or slit to the required thickness where necessary. When not feasible, specimens cut f
6、rom molded test slabs manufactured from the same material with an equivalent cure to the molded parts shall be used.
