SCOPEThe material defined by this specification is a woven elastic tape.2. APPLICATIONThis specification

2、 was released originally for material used in front seatcushion assemblies.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropr

3、iatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this s

4、pecification.The IR spectra and ther mogram established for initial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermogram that cor respond to the reference standard when testedunder the sam

5、e conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relativehumidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under thesame conditions unless otherwise specified.3.4 WID

All critical areas with respect tothese p roperties shall be clearly designated on the engineeringdrawing.3.13 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equ ivalent in allchar acteristics to the material upon which approval w

14、as originallygranted.Prio r to making any change in the properties, composition,construction, colour, processing or labelling of the materialorigi nally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequirements, the Supplier shal

15、l notify Purchasing, Toxi cology and theaff ected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes andobta in the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity.Test data , test samples and a new code identification are to besubmitted with the request.Substa nce restrictions imposed by

16、 law, regulations or Ford, apply toth e materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g. A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defi

17、ned by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffecte d Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall s

18、ubmit to the affected Materials Engineeringact ivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized repres entative of the test facility, demonstratingfu ll compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), t he mate

19、rial designation and code number, andtest spec imens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateria l will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassess ment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapproval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.
