SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a NLGI 2 grease consisting of a uniform blend of refined mineral oil, a moisture resistant, polyurea compound, and rust and oxidation i
3、nhibitor. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for grease used in lubricating engine drive belt tensioner assemblies and water pump bearings. This material is designed for high speed, high temperature operation of ball and roller bearings. The operating temperature for this mate
4、rial is - 29 to 177 oC. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Materials suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 Initial Qualifications Supplier must furnish to the affected Materials
5、 Engineering activity a completed and certified copy of the attached Supplement A and test reports demonstrating full compliance with all the detailed requirements of this specification. 3.1.2 Control Plan Supplier and affected Materials Engineering activity shall establish mutually agreed upon qual
6、ity control limits, which will be listed on Supplement B, and will be used for ongoing product verifications at mutually agreed upon frequencies. 3.4 CONSISTENCY Material shall be a smooth homogeneous product free from abrasive particles, it shall be consistent in color and texture, and free from ob
7、jectionable odors during normal storage. It shall be suitable for the intended application. 5.
