SCOPE These specifications define the performance requirements for a paint or powder coat system with

3、adequate appearance and durability on metal components in non-eye level visible interior areas. WSK-M2P151-A1 24 h Salt Spray WSK-M2P151-A2 48 h Salt Spray WSK-M2P151-A3 72 h Salt Spray 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally to provide adequate corrosion resistance for interior

4、, non-eye level visible parts such as steering column, heater parts, rear view mirror support, ashtray, brake and clutch pedals and for interior visible parts such as radio shields and seat metal fittings etc. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford

5、 Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 CONDITIONING All parts shal

6、l be aged for 72 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h at 43 +/- 2 C before testing for resistance properties unless otherwise specified. 3.3 SYSTEM COMPONENTS 3.3.1 Substrate As specified on the Engineering Drawing. 7、urface to be coated must be free from oil or alkaline residues, fingerprints, rust, dirt, moisture, and other foreign materials. 3.3.3 Coating Material 3.3.3.1 Pretreatment All parts shall be zinc phosphated to WSK-M3P1-C requirements. 3.3.3.2 Primer Ford Engineering approved Electrocoat primer of c

8、urrent production or equivalent baking primer. Primer Surfacer (if necessary) Only required when enamel is used as a colour coat. Ford Engineering approved current production material. Separate bake or wet on wet with enamel. 3.3.3.3 Top Coat Ford Engineering approved current production interior tri

9、m paint or approved equivalent. 3.4 FILM PROPERTIES 3.4.1 Colour (FLTM BI 109-01) As specified on the Engineering Drawing or Colour Release Supplement. Shall match the Master Appearance Sample colour panel. 3.4.2 Gloss (FLTM BI 110-01) As specified on the Engineering Drawing or Colour Release Supple

10、ment. 3.4.3 Initial Hardness The finish shall be sufficiently cured at the time of packing to withstand normal handling and shipping without damage. 3.4.4 Film Thickness, Total, min 35 micrometre (FLTM BI 117-01) Electrocoat, min 10 micrometre Powder Coat, min 35 micrometre Top Coat, min 25 micromet

16、fied on the Engineering drawing, Engineering parts specification and/or performance specifications. All critical areas with respect to these properties shall be clearly designated on the Engineering drawing. 3.7 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent

17、 in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any change in the properties, composition, construction, color, processing or labeling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ab

18、ility to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to b

19、e submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are defined in Engineering Material Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1, unless a different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineering

20、document for the application. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS This specification is intended to define the performance and/or properties of finished parts or systems of combined materials. An Engineering Material Approved Source listing is not applicable for this specification. Product Engineering materials referenced in this document and/or the affected engineering drawing which require prior Engineering approval, are shown in the Engineering Material Approved Source List under the specification cited.
