2、se onecomponent sealer based on polyurethane. It cures at room temperature inthe presence of moisture.2. APPLICATION:This specification was released originally for dealer repair shops forthe repair of interior and exterior body joint seams. The material is tobe applied to dry, grease free and primed

3、 surfaces. After applicationcondition for at least 5 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity(based on an application thickness of max 3 mm) prior to painting.3. REQUIREMENTS:Note: Unless otherwise specified use:a) EC-coated test panels according to FLTM BI 120-01, Method C andb) test panels

4、 prepared according to FLTM BI 103-02, Method Bb, exceptonly EC-coated and spray primer.3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStandard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate

5、statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orthermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specifi

6、cation.The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approvalshall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on fileat the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IRspectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standardwhen tested under the same condit

11、. After cooling to RT expose test assemblies and bending fixture(see FLTM BV 153-04, except 100 mm mandrel) in a cold box at- 40 +/- 2 C for 4 h. 17、st assembly and measure the sagging height inmm.3.15 WATER ABSORPTION, max 2 %(FLTM BV 153-07 substitute heattreatment by 48 h at RT)3.16 SHEAR STRENGTH AT 23 +/- 2 C, min 0.5 MPa(FLTM BV 154-03, Method B). Prepare specimen in accordance with section II, coatingthickness x = 2 mm. Substitute heat tr

22、 color, processing or labelling of the materialoriginally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed

23、changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford isapplicable to the materials addressed by this document. Therestrictions

24、are defined in Engineering Material SpecificationWSS-M99P9999-A1, unless a different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) isspecified on the engineering document for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS:Materials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineering a

25、ctivity. Suppliers desiring approvalof their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test r

26、eports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test facility,demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of thisspecification (test results, not nominal values), the materialdesignation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Inaddition to meeting the requirements of this specification, the materialswill be assessed for suitability for intended applications as part of theapproval process. Upon approval, the material will be added to theEngineering Material Approved Source List.
