2、hacrylateester resin which hardens to a polymeric solid in the absence of air oroxygen. Contact with active metal parts or elevated temperatures acceleratethe cure speed. The product is designed for low tensile strength to makedisassembly of parts easy.2. APPLICATIONThis specification was released o

3、riginally to seal case trans-axle clutchby using either nozzle dispensing or screen printing equipment and isapplicable for gap sizes up to 0,15 mm. When applied to threads a maximumgap of 0,3 mm is acceptable.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Q

4、uality SystemStandard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR

5、THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orthermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shallconstitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material l

6、aboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned ina controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 %

Take three readings, then move the spindle to the 50 mmdipping depth, take three readings the same way atfrequencies of 2,5 rpm and 5 rpm.5

10、. Record the values for each frequency and spin dle position.6. The calculated average for each frequency sha ll conform tothe requirements specified above.3.4.4 Miscibility with Transmission FluidThere mu st not be a measurable rheological effect when themateri al is dissolved in transmission fluid

11、 up to 1 % byweight.3.4.5 Compatability with Screen MaterialsThere must not be a visible effect on coating of screen andscreen fibre material after 72 h contact with sealermaterial.3.4.6 Open TimeAfter c oating a degreased mild steel surface with thema terial under test, the sealant must not set whe

13、of receipt at Ford Motor Company)Aft er storage between 5 and 32 C in sealed unopenedcontainers with a minimum content of 250 ml and out of directsunli ght the material must pass all specificationrequirements.3.5 CURED MATERIAL PROPERTIES3.5.1 Shear Strength 10 - 15 Pa(DIN 54452)Test Method: Sleeves

14、 and pins are degreased, sealant isapplied to the pin and the inside of the sleeves , and the twoparts fitted together within one minute; conditi on 72 h. Themaximum load necessary to press out the pin is measured at afeed rate of 15 mm/minute is recorded. The shea r strength isthen calculated on th

All critical areas with respect tothese properties shall be clearly designated on the engineeringdrawing.3.7 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equ ivalent in allchar acteristics to the material upon which approval was originallygranted.

19、Pri or to making any changes in the properties, composition,const ruction, color, processing or labelling of the materialorigi nally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing,

20、 Toxi cology and theaff ected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes andobta in the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity.Test data , test samples and a new code identification are to besubmitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or

21、Ford isapp licable to the materials addressed by this document. Therestrictions are defined in Engineering Material SpecificationWSS-M99P9999-A1, unless a different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) isspecified on the engineering document for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defined by this s

22、pecification must have prior approval by therespon sible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffe cted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the

23、affected Materials Engineeringactivi ty its own laboratory report to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecimens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be added tothe Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5. GEN
