3、riginally to seal case trans-axle clutchby using either nozzle dispensing or screen printing equipment and isapplicable for gap sizes up to 0,15 mm. When applied to threads a maximumgap of 0,3 mm is acceptable.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Q
4、uality SystemStandard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR
5、THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orthermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shallconstitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material l
6、aboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned ina controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 %

19、Pri or to making any changes in the properties, composition,const ruction, color, processing or labelling of the materialorigi nally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing,
20、 Toxi cology and theaff ected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes andobta in the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity.Test data , test samples and a new code identification are to besubmitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or
21、Ford isapp licable to the materials addressed by this document. Therestrictions are defined in Engineering Material SpecificationWSS-M99P9999-A1, unless a different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) isspecified on the engineering document for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defined by this s
22、pecification must have prior approval by therespon sible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffe cted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the
23、affected Materials Engineeringactivi ty its own laboratory report to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecimens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be added tothe Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5. GEN
