3、ith adjacent materialsis required (see para 3.15).3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools m

4、ust be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spec

5、tra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDIT

No loss of adhesion on and around the area of stone impact.Test Method:1) Test panels of 300 x 100 mm (prepared according to FLTM BI 120-01)sha ll be coated with the material under test in such a manner(layer) that aft

11、er curing a dry coating thickness of 1.0 mm isobtained.2) Condition for 16 h at 23 +/- C and expose in a mechanicalconvection oven maintained at 70 +/- 2 C for 120 h.3) After conditioning for 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C, determine the abrasionresistance according to ASTM D 968, except I.D. of tube 25 mm anda

APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defined by this specification must have prior appro

29、val by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffecte d Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringact

30、ivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized repres entative of the test facility, demonstratingfu ll compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), t he material designation and code number, andtest spec imens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateria l will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassess ment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapproval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.
