APPLICATIONThese sp ecifications were released originally for a paint system used aselect rocoat primer on vehicle bodies, sheet metal components and smallparts. The primer will provide good corrosion resistance , go

5、od adhesion andenamel appearance properties.WSK-M64J29-A1/WSK-M64J29-C1:Thi s primer is applied directly over zinc phosphated cold rolled steel,electrodeposited zinc or zinc/n ickel alloy coated steel and any other typeof precoated steel, as well as to aluminum substrates. T ypical applicationsare a

6、s follows:. Visible Exterior Surfaces:The electrocoated primer fil m will be followed by a primer surfacer andan exterior enamel colour coat. The electrocoat prim er, primer surfacerand enamel are all baked separately. Visible Interior Surface:The backed electrocoated primer film is followed by an e

10、TATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the fi

11、nal product is continually reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute

12、the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial condition

37、 change in the properties, composition,const ruction, colour, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe

38、 affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineeri

Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification

42、 (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for i ntended processes and/or applications. Upona
