APPLICATIONThese sp ecifications were released originally for a paint system used asanodic ele ctrocoat prim
3、er on phosphated small parts. It will either befollow ed by primer surfacer and exterior enamel colour coat or be used assingle coat on non visible parts.3. REQUIREMENTSWSK -M64J31-A1: The anodic electrocoat primer shall meet all detailedrequirements of this specification.WSK-M6 4J31-A2: The make-up
4、 feed materials shall meet the requirements ofpara 3 .4. When feed material is used in production, the resultant primershall meet all detailed requirements of this specification.3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually accep
5、table Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continually reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its o
6、ption, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR

24、material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,const ruction, colour, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificatio
25、nrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Subst
26、ance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe mat erials addressed by this document. The restrictions arede fined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1,unless a different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on theengineering document for the application.4. APPR
27、OVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffect ed Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. U
28、ponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecimen s for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Eng
29、ineering Material Approved Source List.5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for assistance and clarificationand does not represent requirement(s) to this specification.5.1 CORRECTIVE ADDITIVESCorrecti ve additives shall only be used as recommended by thesupp lier of the electrocoat material. The resultant bath materialshall meet all requirements of this specification.
