2、fication is a high flexible adhesionprimer for Polypropylene plastics.2. APPLICATIONThis specification was originally released for material used as adhesionprimer for Polypropylene bumpers.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda

3、rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISF

4、ord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material lab oratory. Al

5、l samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAl l Tests according to this specification shall be performed in acontrolled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 - 65 % relative humidityif not otherwise speci

After the storage the material must pass allspecification requirements.3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS3.6.1 Subs

10、tratePolypropylene as required on Engineering Drawing.3.6.2 Plastic Preparation (see also 5.1)The surface to be painted shall be cleaned by an acceptablepr ocess, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents,fingerprints, oils, dirt and moisture.3.6.3 Adhesion primer applicationDry film thicknes

12、specification.3.6.5 Top coat applicationApplication of currently used two pack high flex ible top coatsyst ems, filmthickness and baking as specified in therelevant material specification.3.6.6 AgeingTest panels prepared under this specification shall be agedfor at least 168 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h

13、at 45 + /- 1 C beforetesting for resistance properties.3.7 APPEARANCE (Primer only)3.7.1 Colour light grey(FLTM BI 109-01)3.7.2 Gloss matt3.8 RESISTANCE PROPERTIESTest Panels and plastic parts painted according to para 3.6 of thisspecification shall meet all requirements of performancespecification

14、WSK-M2P145-A.3.10 QUALITYThe primer must be adaptable for application in accordance with theappropriate Ford Motor Company Process Specifica tion. The primer mustbe compatible with all related materials.3.11 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal

15、 l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pr ior to making any changes in the properties, composition,co nstruction, color, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials abilit

16、y to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submit

The restrictions are definedin Engineering Material Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1, unless adi fferent

18、suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expres

19、sion of interest from theaffect ed Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number,

20、and testspecimen s for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for assistance and clarificationand does not represent requirement(s) to this specification.5.1 PRETREATMENTA pre treatment e.g. by flame process, corona discharge or plasmatreating, may be necessary prior to painting to provide sufficientadhesion to meet all specification requirements.5.2 DENSITY OF THE DRY FILM see Initial Sample(FLTM BI 154-02) +/- 0,02 kg/L
