SCOPE This specification defines the performance requirements for PVC-sheet covered semi-rigid polyester foam pads which may incorporate metal or plastic reinforcements, printed labels or mirrors. 2. APPLICATION This specification was o

3、riginally released for sun visors. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Mat

4、erials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 CONSTRUCTION The metal or plastic frame is sandwiched with plies of foam. The part is covered with a HF welded PVC sheet. A mirror or a printed label is inserted if specified on engineering drawings. 3.5 COMPRESSION AND RECOVERY After test, the finished part shall not sh

5、ow any visible indentation marks. Test Method: The part shall be indented for one minute with a circular indenter foot of 35.7 mm diameter. Depth of indentation shall be 50% of part thickness. After release, the part shall recover for 2 h prior to examination. ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONWSK-M

Furthermore, no wrinkles or bond line failures are permitted. If applied, the mirror shall not sho

7、w any distortion or bond line failures. The aged assembly shall not show any change when compared with the original part. Test Method: (ISO 188/ASTM D 573, 7 days at 90 C.) Mount the finished part according to vehicle installation on a suitable fixture and introduce it, in car position, into a mecha

8、nical convected oven with fresh air supply of 100 +/- 20 air changes per hour, and maintain at 90 +/- 2 C for 7 days. After completion of the heat exposure condition the part for 24 h minimum at standard atmosphere (23/50) prior to examination. 3.7 ENVIRONMENTAL CYCLING After test, the part shall no

9、t show any color tone change, change in gloss or tackiness. Furthermore, no wrinkles or bond line failures are permitted. If applied, the mirror shall not show any distortion or bond line failures. The aged assembly shall not show any change when compared with the original part. Test Method: (FLTM B

10、Q 104-7, Procedure 3.) Mount the finished part according to vehicle installation on a suitable fixture and expose to required cycling condition. After completion of last cycle condition the part for 24 h minimum at standard atmosphere (23/50) prior to examination. 3.8 BOND STRENGTH 3.8.1 Original, m

11、in 50 N/15 mm width 3.8.2 After Environmental Cycling, min 50 N/15 mm width (See para 3.7) Test Method: Specimens 15 mm in width and approx. 150 mm in length shall be cut across the bond line and then clamped in the jaws of a tensile machine in such a manner that the bond line is positioned in the middle between the jaws. The maximum breaking strength will be determined using a test speed of 500 mm/min. Note: Bond lines located in the mirror (if applied) area shall not be examined. 3.9 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute
