SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a multilayered vacuum formable polymeric dry paint film laminate suitable for the in-mold coating of injection molded plastic parts. 2. APPLI
3、CATION This specification was released originally for material used for decorative plastic exterior parts such as radiator grills, body side moldings, fuel filler caps etc. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Co
4、mpanys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 All requirements of this specification, identified by symbol (s), shall be met with data representing 3 sigma values. 3.4 POLYMERIC FILM PROPERTIES 3.4.1 Construction 3.4.1.1 Paint Film: Supporting film (Acrylic polymer, p

8、ES 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Except where otherwise noted, resistance property tests shall be conducted using injection molded plastic panels laminated with dry paint film under standard production conditions as recommended by the supplier of the film laminate. 3.5.2 Weathering Resistance
9、After exposure in accordance with 3.5.2.1, 3.5.2.2 and 3.5.2.3, the material shall show no color change in excess of specified Gray Scale rating (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1/ISOI 105-A02). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. A slight loss of gloss or chalking wi
10、ll be allowed provided an acceptable appearance can be achieved by washing and/or polishing with Ford car polish (auto wax) after the outdoor exposure, at permission of the affected Product Development Materials Activity. All initial approvals will be based on the preliminary Weatherometer exposure,

15、ber 800.51211 or equivalent. 3.6 INSERT INJECTION MOLDED FINISHED PARTS The finished parts shall meet the following requirements of paint performance specification WSK-M2P143-A: para 3.5.1, 3.5.2, 3.5.3, 3.5.4, 3.5.5, 3.5.6, 3.5.7, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13 and 3.13.1. 3.7 REQUIREMENTS OF BASE MATERIALS The base plastic materials (ABS, PC+ABS, PC+PBT, etc.), must meet the requirements of the specified material specification.
