SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an iron based material which achieves high density and improved dimensional accuracy through double pressing-double sintering. The chemical

3、 composition and high density of this material permits heat treatment to high strength levels in the core (quench and temper) and allows carburizing processes to improve surface wear characteristics. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used in tilt steering column

4、 lock levers. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION (Weight %) Carbon 0.2 - 0.4 Nickel 5.0 - 6.0 Molybdenum 0.4 -
