3、2 ELECTRICALLY HEATED BACKLITE, POLYCARBONATE 1. SCOPE These specifications define the performance requirements for a heated backlite comprised of conductive materials either fired and fused to float glass, or thermally cured materials which are printed or applied onto polycarbonate glazing systems.
4、 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally to supplement information on the engineering drawing for an electrically heated backlite assembly for defroster and/or defogger purposes. In addition to the requirements listed in this specification, requirements listed in the SDS must be

GENERAL INFORMAT
21、ION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 CLEANING Glazing surface must be free of dirt, oil, fingerprints and any other material which would interfere with the adhesion or functioning of the silver-ceramic con
22、ductors. Highly abrasive materials and/or sharp instruments that would damage the conductors should be avoided when cleaning the interior surface of the backlite assembly. 5.2 FIRING SCHEDULE (For glass only) The firing cycle normally used to fuse the silver-ceramic conductors shall be equivalent to the production curing and temperature cycle. 5.3 CURING SCHEDULE (Polycarbonate System) The curing cycle for printed conductors shall be equivalent to the production curing and temperature cycle.
