SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a grease consisting of white mineral oil with polyurea thickener, and PTFE. Temperature range is -50 to + 350 F. 2. APPLICATION Thi
3、s specification was released originally for grease used to lubricate power seat mechanisms and recliners, gear boxes, seat tracks and rails and flex cables. The following note will be inserted when applicable: Note: This grease shall be formulated so that it will not stain or soften painted exterior
4、 or interior automotive finishes, when evaluated according to FLTM BJ 126-01. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 Initial Qualifica
5、tions The supplier must furnish to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed and certified copy of the attached Supplement A and test reports demonstrating the capability of the process for the listed critical properties. 3.1.2 Ongoing Verification Plan In addition to the control plan,
6、 the supplier and affected Materials Engineering activity shall establish a mutually agreed upon ongoing product verification plan which will be listed on Supplement B. 3.4 CONSISTENCY Material shall be a smooth homogenous product free from abrasive particles, it shall be consistent in color and tex
7、ture, and free from objectionable odors during normal storage. It shall be suitable for the intended application. 3.5 FUNCTIONAL APPROVAL Materials being evaluated for initial approval may be subjected to a functional trial. Functional trial results shall be evaluated by the responsible Systems Engi
8、neering and Materials Engineering activities prior to material approval and release.
