SCOPE The m

2、aterial defined by this specification is a woven jacquard polyester face fabric made from 100% virgin yarn. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2018MY Fiesta seat insert in South America. The fabric was originally approved as tri

3、-laminated with foam and a backing scrim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The l

4、ist of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall

5、 meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material shou

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below

9、is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be pr

10、oduced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or Regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a Construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric constructi

11、on, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first

12、 obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all t

13、he requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certificatio

14、n testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. 15、any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with

16、 reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Producation Part Approval Process

17、(PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
