2、UROMETER 1. SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene (HNBR) rubber formulated for resistance to heat, power steering, or automatic transmission fluid. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for o-rings on hydraulic distribution line

3、s which are in contact with power steering fluid at elevated temperatures. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements for Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 MATERIAL TESTING Prepa

4、ration of Test Specimens Whenever possible, all test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test sheets manufactured from the same material and with equivalent cure to molded parts are recommended. The recommended dimensions of the test sheet

5、s are: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. 3.3 ORIGINAL PROPERTIES 3.3.1 Hardness, Durometer A B1 80 +/- 5 (ISO 868/ASTM D 2240, instantaneous, B2 70 +/- 5 plied-up specimen. To meet the requirements of this

13、 specification, the rubber must be tested in one of the three fluids. The outcomes can be compared to the values listed in Table 1 of section 4.0. Table 1 can be used for quality control purposes, but does not define the material performance necessary to insure component function. 3.8.1 Identify flu

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of these specifications. 4.1 At the time this specification was released, there were three power s

Two coatings currently used for this

19、 application. 1. Parkerslick NON-PTFE Coating., (P10 for WHITE, P06 for ORANGE) 2. MLUBE 1800 per WSS-M99B191-A (PTFE) 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS 2008 04 22 Was previously WSA-M2D451-A2. Added 70 Durometer in support of the corporate clamp plate project which standardized the fitting dimensions for the high and low pressure line attachment to the steering gear. Changed some of the specification limits to agree with material currently in production.
