SCOPE The

2、 material defined by this specification is an expanded polyvinyl chloride film laminated to a circular knit fabric. These materials can be used laminated with foam and/or a backing fabric/scrim, based on the application. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for the Ecosport door

3、 armrest insert application. Any other applications must be evaluated by the appropriate product engineer with functional testing and approved by Materials Engineering. 2.1 LIMITATIONS This material cannot be used for seating applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MAT

4、ERIALS In addition to the requirements listed herein, this material shall meet the requirements of WSS-M15P45-C/Latest Instrument Panel and Soft Interior Components, Flexible Cover Skin Material Performance specification. The material must meet WSS-M8P3-E1/E2/E3/latest, Performance, Flexible Polymer

5、ic Film, Interior Quality. 3.2 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CADfile or other documents. The list of approved sources is locate

6、d within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the materi

7、al should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, grain, gloss level and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design Master Sample. 11、, LLC Page 3 of 3 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined i

12、n this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. Each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric

13、 construction, composition and yarn construction. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their labor

14、atory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the

15、 supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally

16、granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of t

17、he proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Productio

18、n Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
