SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are laminates consisting of a solid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film, an expanded PVC layer, and various fabric bac

3、kings. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally as a flexible covering, with or without decorative stitching, to wrap a plastic/foam substrate for instrument panel applications. This material is not suitable for seating or door panel applications. This material must also meet the

4、 requirements in WSS-M15P45-B for instrument panels and soft interior components. 2.1 LIMITATIONS 100% cotton or cotton/polyester blends not to be used as fabric backing to reduce visual defects. If the plastic substrate is an olefin based material, it must be pretreated with either adhesion promote

5、r, flame, or plasma treatment and no slip agent should be present unless validated with the slip agent. If the plastic substrate is a styrenic based material, the PVC should not come in direct contact with the substrate or chemical compatibility testing must be performed. The decorative thread and s

6、titching must be evaluated by Design. The sewing must be done in a way to not show the substrate and or backing fabric. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements for Production Materials

7、 (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 APPEARANCE 3.2.1 Color Matching with Artificial Light (FLTM BI 109-01, Visual Assessment) The color, pattern and finish shall match the approved Design Center master sample, or shall be as specified on the Engineering Document. 3.2.2 Gloss (FLTM BI 110-01, ASTM523) As specifie
