SCOPE The material

2、 defined by this specification is a 25 mm long glass fiber reinforced and conductive unsaturated polyester (UP) sheet molding compound. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for non class A body components that do not require a conductive primer to achieve paint

3、ability. Notice: This material has not yet been approved for class A components exposed to direct sunlight. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements for Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 All re

4、quirements of this specification, identified by symbol (s), shall be met with data representing 3 sigma values. 3.2 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.2.1 Preparation of Test Specimens All test specimens shall be prepared from cross-ply molded plaques or equivalent. The plaques are to be manufactured from the s

5、ame material and under equivalent conditions as production parts. The plaques shall have the following dimensions: 300 x 300 mm, min x 2.5 +/- 0.2 mm Prepared specimens must show no evidence of fiber tear or loose strands protruding from the specimens. No additional annealing of specimens is allowed

Rinse the glass fibers several times with distilled water before drying in an oven for 2 h at 120 +/- 2 C. After cooling, weigh the cru

15、for 5 seconds minimum at a distance of 305 mm from the probe. Voltmeter should read 10,000 volts minimum. Place part in fixture or flat panel on grounded table. Make sure part is grounded, remove the probe fixture from the path of the electrostatic spray. Spray the entire part surface from a distanc

16、e of 305 mm for a minimum of 15 seconds. Record the voltage reading 15 seconds from when the spraying is complete. 3.4 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute The specimen size required for material approval is 355 x 100 x 2.5 +/- 0.2 mm with a smooth surface. 4.
