SCOPE The materials defined by this specification are bulked continuous filament (BCF) nylon, cut pile carpets, tufted into a synthetic primary foundation. It is then coated with a latex and backed with a heavy layer substrate. This ca
3、rpet is piece dyed. 2. APPLICATION This material was released originally for carpets used for floor mat applications as part of the Carpet Construction Strategy. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet assembly (molded or otherwise fabricated) shall meet al
4、l requirements of the WSS-M15P44-A performance specification and the Sound and Heat Control (INSUL) SDS accessory mat applications. This carpet meets the Resistance to Abrasion requirement of 4,000 cycles per WSS-M15P44-A para. 3.11.2. 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material supp
5、liers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.3 APPEAR

9、ng The pre-coating shall form a continuous and uniform coating over the back of the carpet so that all pile fibers are covered. The pre-coating shall be thoroughly melted and shall maintain its ability to lock in the pile fibers in the end-item, molded carpet assembly. The pre-coating shall thorough
10、ly saturate the base of the pile fiber bundles to ensure adequate tuft lock.
