SCOPE WRS-M3H138-A10: The materials defined by this specification are flat needled, recycled polye
3、ster, non-woven carpets of good quality and uniform composition. This carpet is a solid color matched carpet. WSS-M3H138-A11: The materials defined by this specification are flat needled, virgin polyester, non-woven carpets of good quality and uniform composition. This carpet is a solid color matche
4、d carpet. 2. APPLICATION This specification was originally released for bin liners and seat back applications, with a solid color matched face. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (
5、ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 WRS-M3H138-A10: The face material must contain 95% recycled content as defined by WR
6、S-M99P42-A2 (Textile Materials, Identification of Recycled Content). The remaining portion of the material can come from virgin sources. 3.3 WSS-M3H138-A11: This specification is based on virgin materials. 3.4 CARPET PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet asse
7、mbly shall meet all requirements of the WSS-M8P16-B. 3.5 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be

9、ntrolled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.7 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations,

14、 Or WSS-M3H138-A11 Supplier Name and Product Code (As it appears on the Approved Source Listing) WSS-M8P16-B 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering

The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon re
16、quest and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characte
17、ristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (
18、STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Ve
19、rification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restri
20、ctions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly.
