SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a Lyric pattern, knit fabric, flame laminated to flame bondable polyether urethane foam or adhesive laminated to

4、 a backing scrim. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as cover material for headliners, sun visors and pillars. Any other applications must be evaluated and approved by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. 2.1 LIMITATION Dark colors used for pillar

5、applications, must use a dark colored backing to prevent read through. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD fi

6、le, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 WSS-M5H40-B1/2. This specification is based on virgin materials. 3.3 WRS-M5H40-B20/21. This specification must contain 20% minimum recycled content as define

7、d by WRS-M99P42-A2. The remaining portion of the material can come from virgin sources. 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.5 FABRIC PERFORMANCE 3.5.1 Materials manufactured to this Specification shall also meet the following appli

8、cable specifications: Headlining Formed Performance: WSS-M15P27-G/latest Performance, Roof Systems Fabrics, Interior: WSS-M8P27-A1/latest. 9、 PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.7 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test

10、 values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.8 COMPOSITION 3.8.1 Fabric 100% Polyester (ASTM D

Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure th

15、at the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to me

16、et this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all

17、 regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualifie

18、d and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated qua

19、lity control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to

20、the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by su

21、bmission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off

22、must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is upda

23、ted yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5.
