SCOPE This specification defines the material performance requirements for the steering wheel “Class A“ material. It does not address leather wrap, switches, or internal materials; they are be
3、yond the scope of this specification and are addressed separately. All appropriate suppliers will be listed together as a system on the “Approved Source List” (e.g. the molder, substrate supplier and paint supplier will be recorded as a system). 2. APPLICATION This specification was originally relea
4、sed for materials used in the construction of steering wheels, which are molded in color to 90 % color match and in-mold painted (urethane), molded to 100 % color match with no paint (PVC), and combination wood/PVC wheels. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initia
5、l qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the refere
