SCOPE The purpose of this document is to establish guidelines perta
3、ining to certain materials with regards to Odor, Fogging, the emission of Volatile Organic Carbon Compounds (VOCs) and direct skin contact with the vehicle occupants as required by regions to support governmental restrictions for manufacturing and sale of vehicles within the given region. 2. APPLICA
4、TION WSS-M99P2222-F1 is applicable to requirements for odor, fogging, and the emission of VOCs only. WSS-M99P2222-F2 is applicable to requirements for allergy and direct skin contact testing only. The requirements established by this Standard apply to materials only defined by this document supplied
5、 to Ford and assembled into the cabin space. They apply equally to Tier 1 Suppliers, Full Service Suppliers, Proprietary (black box), and Ford-specified items. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification is performance based and does not have approved sources. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST C
6、ONDITIONS Table 1 lists test material type and criteria for testing. 7、ble 1, Conditioning Period column After the 14 28 conditioning period or after manufacturing, test specimens must be placed in a new polyethylene (PE) coated aluminium bag or wrapped tightly in silicone-free aluminium foil then placed in a new PE bag for shipping to a test laboratory Test material s

10、 out test specimens according to appropriate test methods listed under paragraph 3.4 of this specification Condition test specimens according to Table 1, Conditioning Period column After the 14 28 conditioning period, test specimens must either be tested immediately or placed in a new PE-coated alum
11、inium bag or wrapped tightly in silicone-free aluminium foil then placed in a new PE bag until testing. Testing must be performed within 30 days of receiving the test material All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23
12、+/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. 15、t parameters shall be reported and exchanged as a csv-formatted data file. Parameter values shall be separated by a comma, ASCII-Code #h2C. The decimal marker of numerical values shall be a point, ASCII-Code #h2E. Lines shall be terminated by carriage return, ASCII-Code #h0D. No thousands separators

27、 Page 5 of 10 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their mater
28、ials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compl
29、iance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Pla
30、ns, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.2 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the mater
31、ials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For
32、parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.3 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substan
33、ce restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on
34、 a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5.
