2、d ES 20, “Disconnects and Operating Mechanisms and Safety| Switches“, see Fig. 1, page 2.1.1 Power supply isolation switches are to be installed according to thefollowing method and specifications approved by the Ford MotorCompany.1.2 A non -fusible, manually operated, quick break, two or three pole
3、switch shall be used in the primary power lines of resistance weldermachines under the following conditions.1.2.1 When the electrical power requirements of the machine exceedsthe capacity of the standard distribution panels used in theplants.1.2.2 When more than one welding machine is supplied from
4、a singlefeeder or circuit breaker and not through a distribution panel.1.3 This switch is for disconnecting the machine and electronic controlsfrom the power line only, and since it shall have no fuses orspecific interrupting capacity requirements, it shall not beconsidered as a means of breaking th
5、e circuit under load.1.4 The switch shall be installed in a physical location such that itwill not be part of the machine or the electronic control panels.This permits a machine or control panel to be moved without shuttingdown or turning off any other machine.2. CIRCUIT BREAKER: (Fig. 2 and 3)2.1 P
6、ower supply circuit breakers are to be installed, in addition tothe above isolation switch, for electronic controls which do nothave a self -contained disconnecting means. (See Paragraph 5.2,Section WPX, page 4). The circuit breaker shall have the followingcharacteristics:2.1.1 | Electrically operat
7、ed, two or three pole, 600 volt A.C. with| instantaneous and time delay under voltage trip. Electrical| operation shall be on 120 volts 60 cycles with push button| control and indicating lights.2.2 For applications where the available current to be interruptedexceeds the interrupting capacity of the
