PURPOSE This standard aims at determining standards based on which to correctly and effectively indicate tolerancing on drawings to deliver information on product size in a clear manner. 2. SCOPE This standard describes methods of entering dimensional tolerances in all drawings prepared a

Maximum/minimum limits of sizes Maximum/minimum sizes permissible for normal function of products worked to basic dimensions
5、 3.3. Tolerance Difference between the limits of size 3.4. Upper deviation The algebraic difference between the maximum limit of size and the corresponding basic size. The “+“ symbol is placed before it. (+) tolerance) 3.5. Lower deviation The algebraic difference between the minimum limit of size a
6、nd the corresponding basic size. The “-“ symbol is placed before it. (-) tolerance) 4. BASIC PRINCIPLES OF TOLERANCING 4.1. Tolerances shall be entered clearly and precisely to avoid misreading. 4.2. Tolerances shall be entered together with dimensions. 4.3. Tolerances shall not be regulated in term
7、s of form, geometry and position unless otherwise specified. Geometrical tolerances shall conform to EDS-A-1105. 5. GENERAL METHOD OF TOLERANCING EDS-A-1104TOLERANCING LINEAR AND ANGULAR DIMENSIONS PAGE: 2/2 ISSUED DATE: 1996. 03. 19 REVISED DATE: 2008. 05. 31 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology
8、5.1. The upper and lower deviations are entered in figures after the basic size. Here, the upper deviation is entered at the top and the lower deviation at the bottom. Figures indicating deviations shall have the same decimal points with size smaller than the dimension values. 5.2. When the deviatio
9、n is “0“, only “0“ is entered without (+) or (-) symbol. 5.3. When the upper and lower deviations have the same absolute value, only one value is entered preceded by the symbol. 5.4. When the maximum and minimum values need to be entered, the maximum is entered above the minimum. 5.5. 5.5 It is desi
10、rable not to enter tolerance of size of minor importance to avoid contradiction in dimensions permissible in each portion. Here, it is desirable to enter the dimensional tolerance based on a defined datum surface. 6. RELATED STANDARDS KS A 0108 Technical drawing - Tolerancing linear and angular dimensions
