It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14287. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at determining the bending stiffness of the hoo
3、d to ensure correct fitting during use of vehicles. 2. SCOPE This standard is applied to the hood with gas springs used for passenger cars and MPV. 3. SAMPLE PREPARATION 3.1. In the event of any intentional deviation from the requirements of this standard or engineering change, the supplier shall in
4、form GMDAT of them. 3.2. Samples shall be composed of components and parts meeting material and dimensional requirements in drawings. Following consultation with the design engineer, however, they may be composed of parts for developmental use. 3.3. Sample shall be the hood A in white furnished with
5、 hood components specified in relevant drawings. 3.4. Samples shall be coated with primer or to the higher stage. 3.5. Samples shall show no sign of flaws, deformation or scratch on the surface and be free from loads that may affect test. 4. TEST EQUIPMENT 4.1. Horizontal plate 4.2. Jig 4.2.1. Hood

7、logy 4.7. Signal amplifier 5. TEST PROCEDURES 5.1. Fix the hood with a hinge to the sample fixture jig. Fasten the stud bolt to the gas spring fastening position. 5.2. Have the hinge point and loading point stay horizontal. Install a solid support to the stud bolt fastening position to restrict its
8、downward movement. 5.3. Install the displacement transducer supporting device. 5.4. Attach the loading support to the hood striker. (In case no hood striker is present, construct a jig to tract the loading support and attach it to the hood front edge center.) 5.5. Install the displacement transducer
9、 in the loading direction. 5.6. Connect the displacement transducer and signal amplifier with cable jacks. 5.7. Calibrate the signal amplifier. 5.8. Measure the distance between sample hinges, between hinge and gas spring fastening point and between hinge and loading point and record them on the sam
10、ple sketch (Attachment #1). 5.9. Apply dead weight of 50N, 100N, 150N and 200N at the loading support step by step. 5.10. For each loading stage, measure elastic + plastic deformation (E+P) displayed on the signal amplifier after loading and measure plastic deformation (P) after unloading, and record them on the data sheet in Attachment #1. 6. EVALUATION STANDARD Compare the test results with those for other competitive models.
